Lexus Philippines launched the first-ever RZ—its first fully-electric vehicle for the Philippine market. And while some buyers aren’t hesitant to part with ₱ 4.828-million to plunge head first into the world of electrified luxury, what about those who’re still on the fence?
Though Lexus is offering a generous 8-year warranty on the Lexus RZ’s battery along with a guarantee that the battery will retain up to 90 percent of its capacity (70 percent at least) even after 10 years, it’s understandable that some people are worried about the long-term ownership surrounding battery electric vehicles or BEVs.
Well, thanks to affiliate Toyota Financial Services, people who want to go fully electric can take another route: leasing.
With the help of KINTO One, ownership of a Lexus RZ need not entail plopping down P 4.828-million or even a hefty million-plus down payment. Instead, lessors can try out the luxury EV lifestyle without worry. The Lexus RZ can be leased for ₱ 94,038 per month for 36 months (3 years) or ₱ 87,583 per month for 48 months (4 years).
The KINTO One lease also unlocks other privileges under the KINTO Concierge Services. This service provides PMS reminders, vehicle condition monitoring, service appointment scheduling, insurance claim assistance, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
The monthly amounts cover an annual mileage of 15,000 kilometers per year or an average of 1,250 kilometers per month. Given that most EVs will be used for daily commutes in and around the city, this sounds fair enough.
The lease amount includes periodic maintenance, wear-and-tear parts replacement, comprehensive insurance, vehicle registration, 24/7 roadside assistance, and for any maintenance and repairs that go beyond 24 hours, a complimentary service vehicle.
The amount also includes the AC wall box charger too. So that, including the monthly amount sure sounds like a sweet deal if you are unsure whether you’re ready to go long-term electric.
